MEIMELALI.COM: Bali Officials Will Inspect Schools Before In-Person Learning Resumes.
Bali Officials have confirmed that many schools in Denpasar have been eager to register themselves for an inspection before resuming in-person learning in the near future.
The Head of the Denpasar Education Agency, AA Gede Wiratama said that sixteen schools in Denpasar have registered themselves to the Denpasar Education Youth and Sports Agency for a compliance inspection as the preparation stages begin before starting in-person learning again. “16 middle schools both public and private were scheduled to do an inspection to assure the implementation of prevention protocols on school property.” Wiratama said on Monday (12/4).
Wiratama predicted that the number of registrations from the schools will be increased after the Galungan celebration this week. He also explained that in order to receive permission to implement in-person learning, there are some requirements that they have to comply with such as implementing prevention protocols, students must have permission from their parents, good internet connection, classes are only allowed to operate with 50% capacity and there will be shorter classes.
“The officials from the Education Agency would do a trial before finally implementing this program to all the schools and observe the learning process. And classes are only allowed to operate for 2 hours maximum.” Wiratama concluded. The simulation process will begin in July 2021 with strict supervision from several institutions such as the Education Agency, Health Agency and the Covid-19 Handling Task Force.
