MEIMELALI.COM: Officials Confirm That Denpasar’s Recovery Rate For Covid-19 Has Reached 95%.
Officials from the Denpasar city government have confirmed that the recovery rate of Covid-19 in Denpasar, Bali has reached 95.51% as of Tuesday (18/5).
The Spokesman of the Denpasar Covid-19 Handling Task Force, I Dewa Gede Rai said that the recovery rate in Denpasar has increased, but he also stressed that people still need to be aware as Covid-19 is still being transmitted despite the reducing cases over the last several days. “We have 23 new cases with 32 recoveries today, but we still need to comply with the prevention protocols as the transmission is still on.” Gede Rai said on Tuesday (18/5).
Gede Rai also explained that the accumulated Covid-19 cases in Denpasar is 14,699 cases, with 14,039 recoveries (95.51%), 38 deaths (2.3%) and 322 patients are still being treated (2.19%). He warned people to be more aware about the new variants of Coronavirus that were recently transmitted onto the island. “Despite the leniency that was implemented by the government, people still need to comply with prevention protocols in their daily activities.” Gede Rai added.
Gede Rai committed to keep doing various efforts to reduce Covid-19 transmission and the fatality rate of Covid-19. “We will keep on monitoring several different locations everyday to assure that everyone is complying with the protocols. We will also be educating people and disinfecting some public areas while the Covid-19 vaccine is being distributed as we aim to achieve herd immunity before the border reopens in near future.” Gede Rai concluded.
